What is observable
Before removing guards or disturbing the installation, record:

Markings and nameplates
Record any visible markings before cleaning or disassembly:
- Cast or stamped characters on hub faces or flanges
- Labels, stickers or laser marking on hubs or spacer tubes
- Motor or driven-equipment nameplate data (power, speed) — supports duty context, not coupling identity alone
- Previous purchase order, drawing number or maintenance tag if available
Absence of markings does not imply a generic coupling. Many elastomeric hubs carry limited external marking; identification may require element inspection or comparison with catalogue geometry after safe disassembly.
