Falk Lifelign Gear Coupling

Falk Lifelign Gear Couplings are cost-effective and reliable. With the industry’s highest torque rating and largest bore capacity, they offer savings of up to 35% compared to the competition. Long Term Grease (LTG) lubrication and a four-point seal help extend coupling life and reduce maintenance needs.

Rexnord Falk Lifelign Gear coupling

The Rexnord Falk Lifelign® gear coupling provides an economical coupling solution. The Lifelign has a large bore capacity with superior torque ratings. Available in both single and double engagement designs. Spacer, floating shaft and brake wheel designs are also available.

Types of Gear Flexible Coupling

  • Type GDE (Double Engagement Coupling)
  • GDEL (Double Engagement Large Coupling)
  • Type GSE (Single Engagement Coupling)
  • GSEL (Single Engagement Large Coupling)
  • Type GSCD (Spacer Coupling Double Engagement)
  • Type GH (Gear Horizontal Sliding)
  • Type GDBW / GSBW (Brake Wheel Double/Single Engagement)
  • Type GFS (Single Engagement Coupling with Floating Shafts)
  • Type SS/CC (Gear Double / Large)
  • Type SE/CE (Gear Single /Large)

Characteristics of Gear Flexible Coupling

The shafts may be misaligned by various causes, such as heat, vibration and worn bearing, etc. When the initial alignment is not correct and heavy stress is imposed on the coupling, life time will be short. Any or all of the misalignment shown in the above illustrations are present in every connected drives.

Advantages of Gear Flexible Coupling

Gear Coupling takes the method of coupling by linking sleeve and Hub With shaft and our gear coupling adopted AGMA method (U.S.A) in manufacturing of gear which is the most important in gear Coupling so that we can maintain high quality in product.

  • Light weight, small size, long life and very little loss of transmitting power.
  • It prevents leakage of lubricants by using gasket at the connection point, and it's convenient to set by concave-convex style.
  • Gear Coupling permits parallel, angular and end floating misalignment by crown gear form of hub tooth.
  • Parallel Misalignment:
  • The driving and driven shafts are parallel to each other, but not on the same straight line.
  • Angular Misalignment:
  • The driving and driven shafts cross to each other with an angle an the same straight line.
  • End Floating:
  • The driving and driven shafts slide slightly each other on the center line.
  • The coupling made of S45C has a good endurance to high speed and peak load and we can use some special materials.
